First day of trading at the 2025 Paris Air Show was a big one for Airbus. The European aircraft manufacturer won over a strategically important deal with LOT Polish Airlines for its smallest aircraft type, the Airbus A220, one with Riyadh Air for its largest, the A350-1000, and one for its most successful mid-sized plane, the A321neo. The A321neo order came from the ANA Holding for a supply that will enhance two carrie’s fleets.
ANA Holding Orders A321neo and Its First A321XLR for ANA and Peach
An also very interesting and significant deal for Airbus came from the Far East with ANA Holdings placing a firm order for 24 Airbus A321neo. Now, that includes orders for two carriers, on ANA’s side, and two aircraft variants, on Airbus’.
The airlines involved are ANA, of course, and Peach, the low-cost carrier of the holding. With a breakdown that will see:
- 14 Airbus A321neo join ANA
- 10 Airbus A321neo join Peach
- 3 Airbus A321XLR also join Peach
The last item on the list is the reason this is order is a very interesting one to talk about. These are the first A321XLRs to join the Japanese airline group and will, certainly, prove massively useful to expand low-cost operations throughout East Asia thanks to their extraordinary range capabilities. Having the Airbus A321XLR will bring new destinations in range while maintaining operational costs as low as possible.
