More Single Aisle Airbus Jets For VietJet at Paris Air Show

Ties strengthen further between Airbus and VietJet. The Southeast Asian airline just a few weeks ago had announced the expansion of its standing Airbus A330neo order, now they have placed a new order in the Airbus books for a substantial number of new generation single aisle aircraft.

VietJet Orders 100 New Airbus A321neo at Paris Air Show

As has often been the case in the past, the Paris Air Show is where Airbus shines. The European manufacturer has taken the spotlight and everyone's attention in the opening stages of the air show at Le Bourget airport with impressive aircraft orders flocking in.

The most recent to be announced a 100 aircraft firm order by Asian LCC VietJet. The airline will be renovating its fleet replacing older generation A320 and A321 aircraft with the new high-efficiency A321neo planes. The integration of these aircraft into the airline's fleet will unlock a whole new level of fuel efficiency while upping capacity, which should translate to better operating margins and profits.

However, VietJet not only committed to an impressive 100 Airbus A321neo it also reserved itself an option to order 50 more of the type at a latter stage.

This further consolidates the already strong tie VietJet had developed with Airbus over the past years. From Airbus' point of view this order ensures that they remain the exclusive aircraft supplier to VietJet.

Ex Emirates Cabin Crew and long time aviation enthusiast. I can remember loving aviation and planes since I was a very little boy. I have developed my passion into a deep knowledge of the sector and industry to offer on my sites in depth and precise analyses of what is going on. I also completed cabin crew training with Ryanair, however, I never worked for the company (more on that another time). Finally I also have taken flying lessons completing my first solo flights.
