Etihad is working hard on its branding in this second half of 2026. The Abu Dhabi based airline has presented new cabin interiors for its Airbus A330neo and now is preparing to open its first “Beyond Borders” concept lounge in London Heathrow.

London Heathrow The First Beyond Borders Concept Lounge
Of course London Heathrow, arguably the most premium heavy airport in the world, will be the first to open Etihad’s new “Beyond Borders” concept of lounge.
The airport and the city it serves has a massive demand for premium travel and ties to the UAE are strong making it the most logical place to open the first new facility of this kind away from Abu Dhabi International Airport.
Etihad’s new London Heathrow lounge will open for business in summer of 2027 ahead of the airline’s new Airbus A330neo new cabin interior launch.

A Uniquely Etihad-like Design and Customized Spaces Travel Classes
The first glimpse Etihad gave us of its new lounge is simply stunning. In a characteristically Etihad way the design is simple, essential, modern, and extremely elegant.
The color palette stay pretty close to what it was in the airline’s prior era but the subtle change is refreshing. Beige colors give way to lighter sand colors, with gold finishing around the lounge that makes it unmistakably and Etihad space.

Additionally the lounge is further divided into subsections to ensure each travel class has its expectations met.
Passengers traveling in The Residence aboard the Etihad A380 have their own private suites, ensuring the most private and exclusive experience. First class and Business class guests have their own dedicated space ensuring enough seating and comfort for all even during rush hour.

Creating Continuity Between Ground and Onboard Experience
What is clear, looking at the new lounge images and the A330neo seats is that Etihad’s focus is creating an experience continuity between ground and onboard.
The look and feel of the new Etihad London Heathrow Lounge is perfectly aligned with the seat’s onboard the A330neo, which will also become widespread across the rest of the fleet.

Part of a Larger Investment and Modernization Plan
The lounge and the A330neo interiors are part of a much larger plan. The airline is investing a massive $20 billion in aircraft purchases, customer experience, and also retrofitting its current fleet interiors.

London Heathrow is the first lounge to receive the new lounge design but other lounges will soon follow. Clearly expect busier and more premium heavy demand destinations to have it first but the list of new generation lounges will rapidly grow.
