LOT Polish Airlines Unveils New Warsaw Airport Business Class Lounge

LOT Polish Airlines Unveils New Warsaw Airport Business Class Lounge

LOT has been a busy airline for the past few months. It has kept me with a good stream of news with its new flight to Paris from Krakow but mainly with the opening of its new lounge not so long ago at Chicago O’Hare Airport. Now I have another LOT business class lounge to introduce you to. This time it’s located at the airline’s primary hub in Warsaw Chopin international airport.

A Newly Redesigned Space for Its Business Class and Frequent Flyer Travelers

Much work is going into elevating the airline’s interantional status and visibility. LOT has been particularly aggressive in pricing itself as the cheapest full service carrier on many routes from Europe to Asia and North America. To match what other full service carriers can put bring to the table LOT has recently opened its first overseas lounge in North America at Chicago O’Hare, and now has unveiled its newly renovated business lounge at its primary base of Warsaw International Airport.

The newly expanded LOT Polonez Business Lounge at Warsaw Chopin Airport showcases the airline’s signature orange and blue color scheme with comfortable seating areas, premium refreshment stations, and abundant natural light – part of LOT’s initiative to enhance its premium travel experience.

The new lounge has been both modernized and expanded. LOT has increased its Polonez Business Lounge floorspace by 153 square meters, now covering a total of 860 square meters with seating for additional 60 guests. The location is still the same as before, in the mezzanine level after the security check area in the airport’s Schengen zone.

The lounge’s theme is totally aligned with the airline’s brand identity, featuring plenty of orange and blue. Throughout the new LOT Polonez Business Lounge is high-speed internet coverage along with plenty of power outlets and USB ports near each seating area. A meeting room is also available if you really need to get that call done while on the go.

The lounge has, what the airline defines, “unusual” views of the terminal and the apron. I’m afraid that means not great apron views for aviation enthusiast (as yours truly).

An Improved Premium-Focused Experience For LOT Frequent Flyers

It is clear as day that LOT is trying to up its game in regard to the exclusivity and the level of luxury offered at its airport facilties. The update and upgrade of LOT’s Polonez Business Lounge marks a substantial leap forward in what it offers its business class travelers and frequent flyers.

Both Polonez and Mazurek Business Lounges at Warsaw offer Limo service from the gate to the aircraft, aboard a Volvo XC90, making the experience personal and luxurious.

That aside, going back to the renovated Polonez Business Lounge, now offers among its amenities a new SPA zone which LOT has set up in collaboration with Polish cosmetics brand Phenomè. A space dedicated to relaxation and premium skincare treatments before or after a flight.

The LOT Polish Airlines Polonez Business Lounge also has broadened its former Elite area, now renamed Gold Lounge. The space has greater privacy and enhanced comfort for LOT’s most loyal and frequent travelers.

Who Has Access to The Polonez Business Lounge?

Simply put, you either need frequent flyer status or a business class ticket to get into the renovated Polonez Business Lounge at Warsaw airport. Here’s though the complete list of criteria, you must meet at least one to have access to the lounge:

  • Hold elite frequent flyer status with Miles&More (HON Circle/Senator) or other Star Alliance (Gold) airline.
  • Travel business class on a flight operated by a Star Alliance airline
  • Travel connecting to a domestic flight in business class.

Finally the lounge is open year-round from 5AM to 11PM every day of the week.
