OneWorld is giving its all to celebrate its 25th anniversary in style. The alliance, founded in 1999, after having opened its first branded lounge ever in Seoul Incheon International Airport, is now opening a second one in Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. Let’s take a closer look at all the details.
About The OneWorld Branded Lounge at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport
The lounge, as mentioned above, is the second of its type and the first to be launched in Europe. The OneWorld alliance has in fact opened, earlier this year, its first branded lounge in Seoul Incheon Airport and has now unveiled its first European branded lounge.

This new exclusive facility will serve passengers departing on all non Schengen flights from Amsterdam International Airport. Currently the alliance accounts for approximately 200 flights per week from Amsterdam, however a big chunk of those depart from the Schengen area (Lounge 2). Iberia and British Airways account for quite a few of those flights.
The new lounge, launched once again in collaboration with Swissport, covers a total surface of 473 square meters, and features modern designer decorations, work areas, showers, lounge bar and some stunning views over the airport’s apron.
In essence a place to freshen up before a flight or between flights away from the crowded transfer halls of AMS international airport.
Finally as was done for the Seoul OneWorld branded lounge, even in Amsterdam it was opened no more that 10 minutes walking from any of the Oneworld departure gates.
Finally the opening hours of the lounge. The facility is open 7 days a week, from 5:30 to 22:00 (10pm).

- Royal Jordanian
Particularly for airlines such as Royal Air Maroc and Royal Jordanian, the lounge is a massive upgrade.
