EVA Air is a private owned Taiwanese airline operating out of the island’s main airport Taipei–Taoyuan. The airline is owned by shipping giant Evergreen and operates flights across Asia and onwards to Europe, the US and Australia. The airline is well known among the aviation community for some of the most eye catchy liveries in the sky. Along with its passenger services the carrier also has an extensive cargo operation exporting goods from Taiwan to the world. Its main rival in Taiwan is state-owned China Airlines and recently it has a new competitor in the form of Starlux Airlines.
