Korean budget carrier T’Way is ready for a big new challenge. The airline which is not new to operating international routes across the far east is ready to open it’s longest sector yet. Let’s find out together what the news is all about.
T’Way’s New Seoul Sydney Flight
T’Way Air, founded just over 12 years ago, is ready to head down under tackling its longest route to date. The low cost carrier will be connecting the Seoul’s Incheon International Airport to Sydney‘s Kingsford Smith International Airport.
The inaugural flight will take off from Seoul’s Incheon Airport at 22:20 of the 24th of December 2022 and will arrive in Sydney Australia at 10:45 AM on Christmas day.
T’Way’s schedule for this flight features a 4 times weekly connection. Flight TW502 will fly out of Seoul every:
- Friday
- Saturday
- Monday
- Wednesday
And TW503 will make the return journey every:
- Saturday
- Sunday
- Tuesday
- Thursday
Every ticket purchased, be it in economy class or business class will include:
- 1 in flight meal service
- 1 piece of checked baggage
- 1 piece of hand luggage
Fares start as low as 289.00 USD, however tickets for the first available dates are running out quickly and prices are rising already. So don’t be surprised if you don’t find any tickets available at the lowest fare.
The Aircraft and Flight Time
At the moment T’Way Air only has one aircraft type capable of covering the distance between Seoul and Sydney: the Airbus A330-300. Specifically the airline has 3 of them which it flies to it’s furthest or more high demand destinations. The remainder of the fleet is comprised of Boeing 737-800s.
The T’Way Airbus A330-300s feature a 2 class configurations with 12 Business class seats and 335 Economy class seats. The business class features 2 rows in a 2-2-2 layout, while economy class has a 2-4-2 layout throughout the entire cabin.
The flight time for the journey from South Korea to New South Wales Australia will take approximately 10 and a half hours. So make sure to bring a book to read or something to watch as you won’t have an IFE in the economy cabin.

The airline is looking to increase its long haul sectors and is probably going to enhance its fleet of wide body aircraft. Spokespeople of T’Way Air have also mentioned in past months the possible intention of flying to Europe?
