Singapore Airlines is just a massive operation, a true powerhouse of modern civil aviation. With tens of millions of passengers flying the airline every year and one of the most extensive destination networks out there, the airline’s frequent flyer program is among the most used by travellers worldwide. Krisflyer is an extremely important asset for Singapore Airlines as it helps drive upwards revenue and profits. So, let’s explore which are its tiers, criteria to enter them and finally which are benefits associated to each of them.
Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer Tier Structure
As has become common place among airlines miles and status qualifying miles are not the same thing in Singapore Airlines’ loyalty program. Status qualifying miles are only earned when flying either with the airline or one of its partners. Yes, SIA is one of the airlines that grants status miles even when not flying on its flights. Also, transaction on partner airline flights contribute to postponing the expiry of one’s miles.
To reward its most loyal customers the loyalty program is structured in tiers. Therefore, more you fly and spend with the airline the higher your status will be.
Krisflyer, Singapore Airlines’ frequent flyer program, has 3 tiers (as most loyalty programs out there):
- Blue
- Silver
- Gold

Access Criteria to The Tiers and Associated Benefits
They come with different access criteria and most importantly with growing benefits and rewards. Unsurprisingly the most attractive advantages are associated with the highest tier, Gold. You do get something quite useful though even by just signing up for Krisflyer, that is unlimited free in-flight Wi-Fi. That is something that most airlines don’t offer and is worth signing up for.
