India’s second full service airline, Vistara, announced it’ll be opening a new route to the middle east. The Tata Singapore Airlines joint venture airline will be linking the cities of Mumbai and Muscat.

The Aircraft For Flight UK233
The Indian airline has opted to deploy on this new sector one of its latest generation Airbus A320neo. In particular the airline will fly the 3 class layout A320neo on this new flight to the capital of Oman.
This configuration features:
- 8 Business Class Seats
- 24 Premium Economy Seats
- 132 Economy Class Seats
Vistara will be the only airline to offer Premium Economy class on this sector.
Strengthening Its Position in The Middle East
This will be the fourth destination the new Indian airline will serve in the Arabian peninsula. Vistara already operates flights to:
- Dubai (UAE)
- Abu Dhabi (UAE)
- Jeddah (Saudi Arabia)
It’ll be interesting to see how this young airline will progress in the coming weeks and moving into 2023. Air India and Vistara’s mother company Tata is considering merging the two airlines into one. So, if the merger actually does become reality we might not see the Vistara brand for much longer as Air India will incorporate the younger carrier.
