Both flights are day flights and operate in very comfortable timings for passengers. The outbound flight from Nadi (NAN) to Canberra (CBR) is significantly longer due to the winds, clocking in at 5 hours 5 minutes against the 4 hours 5 minutes of the return sector.
The Plane Chosen For The Flight
Fiji Airways obviously doesn’t have the largest fleet out there. Currently the carrier operates a 21 aircraft fleet with only 12 capable of covering medium and long range routes.
Specifically the new Nadi to Canberra flight will see the FJ Boeing 737 MAX-8 cover the route. This is a single aisle aircraft best equipped for medium range routes just like this one.
