Aer Lingus Is Hiring New Cabin Crew For Its Narrow Body Fleet

Aer Lingus isn’t usually on the front pages when it comes to recruitment campaigns. Usually, all the attention in this regard goes to the big middle eastern airlines. However the Irish flag carrier is all set to start searching for new flight attendants in the coming months. Here are all the details you need to know if you are interested in pursuing this career.

The Details About Aer Lingus Hiring New Cabin Crew

The Irish carrier will be hiring over 200 cabin crew members over the next months in collaboration with Nobox. In the remaining months of 2023, there will be 4 recruitment assessments to determine the successful candidates. With the dates being:

  • October 19th and 20th
  • November 9th and 10th
  • November 23rd and 24th
  • December 8th

The successful candidates will undergo a 6 weeks, from January to May 2024, training programme which will include:

  • Safety and Security Training
  • Basic Medical Emergency Training
  • Customer Experience Training

All new Aer Lingus cabin crew members will be based at Dublin’s International Airport. The training will be entirely done at Aer Lingus’ training facility in Dublin. Also trainees will be paid during the training period.

Which Planes Will The New Crew Be Working On?

The crew will be joining the expanding Aer Lingus narrow body fleet. Therefore the new crew will be flying the Airbus A320 and A321, on both short and long haul services.

The airline is onboarding more and more of these planes, in particular the A321neo, and deploying them on transatlantic sectors.

What Are The Main Requirements?

The requirements to be eligible are not that stringent. In order to apply you must be:

  • 18 years old or above
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Holder of an EU passport with no travel restriction or bans pending.
  • Capable of obtaining a US work visa, in order to operate transatlantic routes.
  • Have at least 12 months of experience in customer service
  • No visible tattoos or piercings when wearing the uniform. This is quite standard with most legacy airlines

As a former cabin crew I highly recommend it as a job if not for the long term at least for some years. It is an incredibly fun and interesting industry. If you wish to apply you can register here:
