London Gatwick Airport (LGW) will be seeing a significant power up in its European flights thanks to British Airways Euroflyer. BA Euroflyer is the new subsidiary company that operates continental flights from London’s Gatwick airport with a fleet of Airbus A320s. Let’s find out which destinations will be added to the British Airways network in 2023 and with which schedule they will operate.
The New British Airways European Flights in 2023
BA will connect 5 new destinations to Gatwick airport in the south of London with a total of 18 weekly frequencies. However initially these will be only seasonal services. Simply because they are summer or winter holiday focused destinations such as:
- Montpellier (MPL) – France
- Corfu (CFU) – Greece
- Mykonos (JMK) – Greece
- Salzburg (SZG) – Austria
- Innsbruck (INN) – Austria
The first 4 destinations of the list will be summer seasonal connections from Gatwick, while Innsbruck will be a winter one. These flights further integrate the BA flights offered from London City and Heathrow Airports.
The New BA Flights’ Schedule
As mentioned before these new flights will have a total of 18 weekly connections. However only Innsbruck will have a daily connection. All other destinations will have less flights to LGW. Specifically these new flights will operate as follows:
Gatwick (LGW) —> Montpellier (MPL)
Will start operations on May 27th with a 3 times weekly frequency throughout the 2023 Summer season:
- Flight BA2620 will fly out of Gatwick on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays respectively at 7:20, 7:15 and 13:50 and arrive into Montpellier at 10:05, 10:00 and 16:35
- The return flight BA2621 will fly back on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays departing Montpellier at 12:10, 12:05 and 17:35 arriving into Gatwick at 12:55, 12:50 and 18:20
Gatwick (LGW) —> Corfu (CFU)
Will start operations on May 30th with a 3 times weekly frequency throughout the 2023 Summer season:
- Flight BA2812 will fly out of Gatwick on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays respectively at 7:15, 8:35 and 17:00 and arrive into Corfu at 12:30, 13:50 and 22:15
- The return flight BA2813 will fly back on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays departing Corfu at 13:25, 14:45 and 23:15 arriving into Gatwick at 14:40, 16:00 and 00:30
Gatwick (LGW) —> Mykonos (JMK)
Will start operations on June 10th with a once per week frequency throughout the 2023 Summer season:
- Flight BA2814 will fly out of Gatwick on Saturdays at 8:20 and arrive into Mykonos at 14:20
- The return flight BA2815 will fly back on Saturdays departing Mykonos at 15:20 arriving into Gatwick at 17:25
Gatwick (LGW) —> Salzburg (SZG)
Will start operations on March 28th with a three times weekly frequency throughout the 2023 Summer season:
- Flight BA2618 will fly out of Gatwick on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays respectively at 11:15, 16:40, 09:30 and arrive into Salzburg at 14:10, 19:35 and 12:25
- The return flight BA2619 will fly back on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays departing Salzburg at 15:05, 20:25 and 14:00 arriving into Gatwick at 16:10, 21:30 and 15:05
Gatwick (LGW) —> Innsbruck (INN)
Will start operations on December 8th with an 8 times weekly frequency throughout the 2023 Winter season:
- Flight BA2620 will fly out of Gatwick on:
- Mondays at 07:10 arriving into Innsbruck at 10:15
- Wednesdays at 09:45 arriving at 12:55
- Thursdays at 08:40 arriving at 11:50
- Saturdays at 12:35 arriving at 15:45
