German airline Condor is taking on a major overhaul of their long range fleet. The carrier has been retiring its older jets and replacing them with new generation machinery. The new aircraft arrivals are also though expanding the number of planes available therefore allowing the airline to expand to new destinations in the near future. 2024 will be a year with a major network expansion for Condor as they are all set to open 2 new routes in the United States. Here’s what the news from Condor is all about.
Condor To Starts New Flights From Frankfurt to Miami and San Antonio
Condor will be launching, ahead of the 2024 summer season, 2 new flights from its base at Frankfurt airport (FRA) to the United States. The new destinations will be:
- Miami (MIA)
- San Antonio (SAT)
Miami is a very obvious choice for a leisure airline as is Condor. Florida is a tourist attraction for European travellers particularly during the summer holidays. San Antonio (Texas) on the other hand is not a huge tourist destination, however there are strong cultural, historic, military and business ties with Germany.
Both flights will commence operations in May 2024. More precisely:
- Flights from Frankfurt to San Antonio (FRA-SAT) will be active from May 17th to September 6th 2024.
- The Frankfurt to Miami service (FRA-MIA) will be active starting May 18th 2024.
The Miami service, you might have noticed, doesn’t have an end date. It will in fact be a year round service for the German airline.

The Aircraft For the 2 New US Flights
As is the case with most Condor Airlines US bound flights Miami and San Antonio will also be served using the airline’s brand new Airbus A330-900neos. These planes are painted in one of the most stunning liveries out there and one of my personal favourites.
As for the cabins, despite being a leisure airline, Condor offers lie-flat beds in business class with a truly premium service on its flights. The configuration of the Condor A330-900neo features:
- 30 Business Class lie-flat beds (Safran Skylounge)
- 64 Premium Economy Class seats
- 216 Economy Class seats
