Eurowings is back with a new flight announcement. I covered news from the German low cost leisure airline just a few months ago for another similar route. Back in May 2023 Eurowings announced it would start flying to Dubai from Berlin and Stuttgart. In July 2023 the airline has announced it will start serving another destination in the middle east before the year is up. Eurowings will start flying direct and non stop from Dusseldorf to Tel-Aviv, Israel.
About The New Eurowings Dusseldorf Tel-Aviv EW9974 Service
Eurowings is the low cost carrier of the Lufthansa Group. However the carrier isn’t the most usual low cost carrier, as they have a very strong focus on serving leisure destinations popular among German holiday makers.
The new EW9974 flight from Dusseldorf to Tel-Aviv is no exception. This flight too serves exactly this purpose. Tel-Aviv, and Israel more in general, are a warm oasis for Germans to escape the cold and grey central European winters.
The timing of the flight launch, December 2nd, is a clear statement of the leisure nature of this service. From the get go the flight will be active and available for booking 3 times per week. Flight EW9974 will fly between Dusseldorf and Tel-Aviv every:
- Tuesday
- Thursday
- Saturday

The Plane For The Flight and The EW Fares
The airline is likely to deploy on the route the fuel efficient Airbus A320neo. The German carrier has configured these planes with a 1 class layout which it however uses in a 2 class configuration. All EW Airbus A320neo feature 180 seats in a 3-3 layout throughout the cabin with the front rows used as business class. Eurowings’ business class consists of the same economy seat with the central seat blocked and some extra perks included in the ticket fare.
The airline sells tickets in 3 different packages:
- Basic
- Smart
- BIZclass
In basic you get just the bare fare and you are allowed to carry on a small bag. Smart includes, for a premium, 2 cabin bags (1 small, 1 large) and a checked bag. BIZclass includes 2 large cabin bags and 2 checked bags along with a meal and the blocked central seat.
