KLM Adds Rennes To Its European Network

With most of the world now open for business after the pandemic, we news of new airline routes on a daily basis. Today we’ll be talking about KLM’s (Royal Dutch Airlines) latest network expansion. It isn’t a tropical destination or on the other side of the world but a short hop from the airline’s base in Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport. Let’s take a closer look at what the news from KLM is all about.

About KLM’s New Amsterdam Rennes Flight

As mentioned the new flight is nothing more than a short hop from the airline’s base in Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam. Starting March 26 2023 the airline will commence flights to and from Rennes in France.

The flight will cater to both domestic European travellers and connecting passengers from KLM’s long haul network spanning across the globe.

The flight will have a daily frequency, however the schedule varies slightly in some days of the week. This is how flight KL1255 will operate from spring 2023:

Monday to Saturday

  • Flight KL1255 will depart Amsterdam (AMS) 14:25 and land in Rennes (RNS) at 16:00
  • KL1256 will make the return trip departing Rennes (RNS) at 16:30 and arrive into Amsterdam (AMS) at 18:10

Sunday

  • Flight KL1255 will depart Amsterdam (AMS) 11:45 and land in Rennes (RNS) at 13:20
  • KL1256 will make the return trip departing Rennes (RNS) at 13:50 and arrive into Amsterdam (AMS) at 15:30

The estimated flight time for the flight is a very manageable 1 hour 35 minutes.

The Aircraft For Flight KL1255

The flight will be part of the KLM City Hopper network. This is the airline’s short haul division that connects less busy and lower demand short range destinations.

Specifically flight KL1255 Amsterdam Rennes will be served by one of the airline’s 17 Embraer 175s. A Brazilian made twin jet aircraft capable of carrying up to 88 passengers.
