About The New Level Miami to Barcelona VY9779 Flight
Level Airline, of which I’ll talk later in the post, will be starting up its fifth flight from its European base in Barcelona to the United States. The airline currently offers flights from Barcellona to:
- New York
- Boston
- Los Angeles
- San Francisco
The new flight from Barcelona to Miami, number VY9779, will commence operations on March 31st 2024. A launch date that will allow the carrier to ramp up operations ahead of what should be a very busy summer season.
The flight makes perfect sense for the Spanish carrier as there is a very large hispanic community in Florida along with many businesses headquarters.

LEVEL will be operating the flight with the only aircraft type it possesses, the Airbus A330-200. These planes are configured in a 2 class layout featuring:
- 21 Premium Economy seats in a 2-3-2 layout
- 293 Economy Class seats in a 2-4-2 layout
Although quite densely configured the LEVEL A33-200s offer some features to make the flight more comfortable and enjoyable. Each seat has a USB-A socket allowing to charge personal devices and each passenger also has his own IFE seat-back screen.
But Hang On What is LEVEL?
LEVEL is by no means one of the most well known airlines in Europe, let alone in the US. The carrier is the long range low cost airline of the IAG group. It operates, as mentioned, an all A330 fleet of planes that it inherited from its mother company, Iberia.
The airline offers flights across the Atlantic Ocean to 7 destinations in North and South America. In essence LEVEL is IAG’s answer to airlines such as Norse and French Bee that have built up steam in offering cheaper flights across the Atlantic.
