Today, March 7th 2023, marked the first flight operated from Paris Charles de Gaulle airport to New York’s JFK airport by Norse Atlantic Airways. So let’s dive into this latest piece of news from Norse Atlantic Airways and how their network will expand.

The Plane for the Paris New York Flight

Norse Atlantic operates a one aircraft type fleet. That means that all flights will be served using the exact same type of equipment. Specifically, as for all other flights, N0301 Paris-New York will be operated using on of the airline’s brand new Boeing 787-9. These planes feature a 2 class configuration with:

  • 56 Premium Economy Seats
  • 282 Economy Class Seats

The Premium Economy Cabin’s layout is 2-3-2, while Economy Class features a 3-3-3 layout with narrower and smaller seats.

The Next Destination To Join The Norse Network

The next destination set to join the Norse Atlantic Airways network is Rome. The Norwegian airline announced back in January that the Italian capital will also be getting a new daily connection from and to New York’s JFK airport.

The Norse Atlantic flight from Rome will start operations later on in the year with the first flight scheduled to fly on June 19th. That’s just in time to intercept the many holiday makers that travel from the American east coast to Italy during the summer season.

What Is Norse?

Simply put Norse Atlantic Airways is a Norwegian air carrier that operates low cost flights on long haul sectors. The airline serves mainly routes from one side of the Atlantic to the other. The expansion of this Norwegian carrier has focused on serving Europe’s main cities and connecting them to the US at low fares.

To further clear up the concept of how the airline is structured, it follows a bit in the footsteps of what used to be Norwegian.
