Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse Coming to Los Angeles in 2025

Despite having 3 daily flights to Los Angeles LAX International Airport, Virgin Atlantic still doesn’t have its own proprietary lounge at the airport. That though is soon to change as the British carrier prepares to open one of its own Clubhouses in Los Angeles’ intercontinental airport.

Virgin Atlantic Setting Up One of Its Clubhouses in LAX Airport

Virgin Atlantic passengers and frequent flyers will soon have a space to call home at Los Angeles international airport. So far, the British carrier didn’t have its own proprietary lounge at LAX. Passengers, therefore, had to use other partner airline lounges that would grant them access.

This isn’t a huge deal in most cases but for Virgin’s it means that the airline can’t convey and offer a brand continuity between airside and onboard experience. That is quite an integral part of the whole experience of flying Virgin Atlantic. The airline has its very own distinctive feel that is different to anything any other carrier offers.

Now that will soon change though. We don’t have a precise date just yet, but we do know that the carrier will be opening its lounge at LAX in 2025 Q1. Going into more detail the lounge will open at the airport’s Tom Bradley International Terminal.

The airline’s intention is to convey in this new clubhouse Los Angeles vibes with mood lighting which mimics the iconic sunsets in the region. Also, the idea is to homage the city as the entertainment capital that it is while maintaining clear British design traits along with the iconic Virgin Atlantic brand identity.

The lounge will feature:

  • A VIP booth named “The Royal Box”.
  • Wireless charging stations
  • Bluetooth connectivity
  • Numerous power outlets
  • A cocktail bar with in-house mixologist
  • Private pods to take calls or work
  • Showers and changing facilities

Who Can Access the LAX Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse Lounge?

Now that we’ve covered all it has to offer, let’s get into the details of who has access to the lounge. To get into the new Virgin Atlantic LAX Clubhouse you must meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • Hold an Upper Class (Business Class) ticket for a Virgin flight, you can be accompanied by 1 guest travelling Virgin Atlantic or Delta
  • Be a Virgin Atlantic Flying Club Gold Card status holder, you can be accompanied by 1 guest travelling internationally on Virgin Atlantic or Delta
  • Hold a Delta One ticket for an international flight on Delta
  • Be a SkyTeam Elite Plus status holder, you can be accompanied by 1 guest travelling internationally on SkyTeam operated flight
  • Be connecting domestically, but from an eligible service having arrived the same day.

The opening of the new Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse at LAX will mark a major upgrade for the airline’s customer airport experience. It fills a void which was quite noticeable as the airline operates 3 daily flights in and out of the Californian airport. Those three flights being:

  • VS8 – aboard an Airbus A350-1000 – Departing at 15:55
  • VS24 – aboard an Airbus A350-1000 – Departing at 22:55
  • VS142 – aboard a Boeing 787-9 – Departing at 18:55
