Emirates Doubles Its Two Class A380 Flights to Bali for Two Months

When analysing Emirates fleet, I talked about how its streamlined structure allows the airline to have a huge amount of operational flexibility. Thanks to that structure and flexibility EK will be swapping seamlessly a Boeing 777 for an A380 on the Dubai Bali route. Here’s when, why and the new structure of Emirates Dubai Bali services.

Emirates Brings in Another A380 on The Dubai Bali Route

Dubai Bali is among Emirates’s most successful routes. The tropical Indonesian paradise attracts millions of tourists year-round and has become a money-making machine for the Dubai airline.

So much that a two class A380 and a Boeing 777-300ER have been used for double daily services to the destination. Well, if that seemed like a lot of capacity on the route, brace yourself. Emirates is bringing in another A380 on the route replacing the current Boeing 777-operated flight EK398/399.

Not only is this a second A380 on this route but it is also a second two class aircraft. This configuration of the Emirates A380 can seat, on a full load, up to 615 passengers divided among:

  • 58 Business Class Seats in a 1-2-1 layout
  • 557 Economy Class Seats in a 2-4-2 layout

If you’re not familiar with aircraft capacity figures, that is a lot of passengers. On average 100 more than the most used Emirates Airbus A380 configurations.

The change will go into effect starting September 1st 2024 through October 26th 2024. Two months with over 1.200 EK seats every single day on the Dubai Bali route.

No Changes to the Dubai Bali Flight Timings

There won’t however be any change to the timings of the two daily services, those will remain untouched. Both EK398 and EK368 will continue to operate as they do now. So that you don’t need to go look up the timing here they are:
