Emirates is the go to airline for many long haul trips between Asia, Australia and Europe. Therefore the Dubai based airline operates a significant number of its own lounges across its network to offer a premium service to its customers before even setting foot on the plane. This allows the airline to maintain high levels of consistency in its product in the airport and on the plane. One of the airline’s main destinations in Europe, possibly second only to London, is Paris. Therefore the fact that Emirates is reopening its proprietary lounge at Charles De Gaulle terminal 2C is of massive importance. Here’s what it’ll offer EK customers from now onwards.
The Renovated Emirates Paris CDG Lounge
The lounge had been temporarily shut down with Skywards elite customers along with Emirates First and Business Class passengers being relocated to the Extime lounge in T1. With renovations completed in Terminal 2C EK customers once again have a home.
The lounge is quite a big one, as Emirates lounges often are, covering a total of 925 square meters. Renovating the lounge set EK back by 3.5 Million Dirham AED, or just shy of 900,000 Euro. The lounge will have space to accomodate up to 165 guests at any given time. That kind of mirrors the number of flights and premium seats the airline offers between Paris and Dubai.
The color scheme has remained the same with the sand and brown tones still dominating the scene. However the chairs are all now with an also all new dining area. Among other amenities offered in the lounge are:
- Shower facilities with VOYA products.
- Views over the runway (for the aviation enthusiasts).
- Complimentary Wi-Fi
- Complimentary Food and Drink selection.
Drinks of course include also a selection of Moet & Chandon champagnes for which Emirates has an exclusive supply contract among all airlines.
Serving 21 Flights Weekly, All Airbus A380s
As mentioned above the lounge has to serve quite a few passengers day in and day out. Emirates serves CDG Paris Airport with not one, not two, but three Airbus A380 services. That translates to 270 daily First and Business class passengers along with Skywards Platinum and Gold status holders.
As you can see there is a real need for such a big space which along with serving these passengers also is a status symbol in one of the most influential and key airport in Europe and the world.
