Emirates, renowned for its vast network of destinations and its high quality on board service standards. The Dubai based airline is also known to be one of the most convenient ways to travel between Australia and Europe. Brisbane Gets More Emirates A380 Flights
The Airbus A380, is a true money maker for Emirates. No other carrier has been able to make this aircraft work as Emirates has. More of these aircraft will be heading Brisbane’s way in 2024.
Starting October 1st 2024 the EK A380 will be replacing the current Boeing 777-300ER service on flight number EK430. Having the A380 on this route is a massive upgrade, particularly for premium class travellers. The 777 configuration in fact features a quite anachronistic 2-3-2 layout which leave 3 passengers per row without direct aisle access. All A380 Business class seats on the other hand have the comfort of direct aisle access, thanks to a staggered layout.
Having the A380 on a long route as EK430 is also a massive upgrade for Economy Class passengers. Although the seat layout is the same, the cabins are much roomier and quieter. Also because the A380 is such a massive plane the ride is much smoother with significantly less turbulence perceivable throughout all points of the cabin
EK Also Powering Up Flights to Western Australia
Further proof of how Australia is a strategic market for Emirates comes from the announcement of a second daily flight to Perth. Starting from December 1st, 2024 flights will double.
The route will be serviced by the Boeing 777-300ER, the smaller of the two aircraft types the carrier possesses in its fleet.

Why So Much Emirates Capacity to Australia?
Australia’s position as a high-income country with a strong demand for premium cabins makes it a strategic market for Emirates. Furthermore, the strong cultural and economic ties between Australia and Europe provide a significant demanda for flights that Emirates can feed on to continue growing its operations while remaining profitable in the process.
Meeting Demand and Expectations
Australia’s allure as a tourist destination continues to grow, and with it, the expectation for premium in-flight experiences. Emirates responds by adjusting its fleet and services to meet these demands. The introduction of the Airbus A380 on one of the main Australian routes and an additional Boeing 777 is a clear response to the growing appetite for travel down under and the airline’s confidence in the market’s potential.
