Just like the other major UAE airline, Emirates, Etihad Airways also wasted no time following the new air transport agreement signed by UAE and Canada. The new agreement specifically allows Emirates and Etihad to increase capacity and frequency of flights to Canada. This is a result of diplomatic relations recently significantly improving. This is how Etihad operations will change on flights between Abu Dhabi and Toronto.
How Etihad EY141 Abu Dhabi Toronto Flights Will Change
In the case of Etihad Airways the change of operations on flight EY141 to Toronto won’t be drastic. The Abu Dhabi based airline already operated a 6 times weekly schedule to the Canadian city. With the restrictions lifted the Abu Dhabi Toronto flight will become a daily connection. This means that it’ll only increase capacity by a couple of hundred seats per week. However we don’t know at this time if Etihad will further enhance its service to Pearson International Airport in the future. The change will be effective starting May 30th 2023.
EY141 Abu Dhabi Toronto Flight Schedule
From May 30th Etihad Airways will fly the Abu Dhabi Toronto route as follows:
- Flight EY141 will fly out of Abu Dhabi (AUH) at 08:55 arriving into Toronto (YYZ) at 14:55 after a 14 hour journey
- Return flight EY142 will depart Toronto (YYZ) at 21:40 arriving into Abu Dhabi (AUH) at 18:25 the next day. Estimated flight time is 12 hours 45 minutes.
The Plane For Flight EY141
Depending on the forecasted loads for the flight the airline switches between the much smaller Boeing 787-9 and the huge Boeing 777-300ER. These two planes feature a 3 class configuration on their ULR layouts. So if you travel on Etihad flight EY141 expect one of these 2 configurations:
