Thailand is one of the most popular year round tourist destination across the globe. Millions of holidaymakers head to the Southeast Asian country to explore buzzing capital city of Bangkok and its breathtaking beaches. With global demand for air travel on the rise Etihad Airways is looking to accomodate request for flights to Thailand by doubling its daily service to Bangkok. Let’s find out what the news is all about.
The New Etihad Abu Dhabi Bangkok Schedule
Starting March 26th Etihad Airways, Abu Dhabi’s flag carrier, will start operating a 2 times daily flight from its base to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi international airport. There will then be 14 weekly Etihad flights to BKK Airport.
The doubling of the service will allow greater selection in booking flights to passengers starting their journey in the UAE and likewise to customers around the globe. Allowing passengers to connect onwards to Thailand with even more options.
As for the flight schedule it will operate every day of the week following this time table:
Abu Dhabi (AUH) –> Bangkok (BKK)
- EY402 will depart Abu Dhabi (AUH) at 22:50 arriving into Bangkok (BKK) at 08:20 the next morning
- EY404 will depart Abu Dhabi (AUH) at 10:30 arriving into Bangkok (BKK) at 20:00
Bangkok (BKK) –> Abu Dhabi (AUH)
- EY403 will depart Abu Dhabi (AUH) at 20:15 arriving into Abu Dhabi (AUH) at 23:30
- EY405 will depart Bangkok (BKK) at 02:25 arriving into Abu Dhabi (AUH) at 06:00
The Plane For Flights EY402 and EY404
The new double daily frequency flight between Abu Dhabi and Bangkok will be operated using Etihad Airways’ Boeing 787 in their 9 and 10 variants.
Neither of these two flights will feature First Class cabins available. Therefore passengers will have to opt for Business or Economy Class on the AUH-BKK sector.
The Etihad Boeing 787-10 features:
- 32 Business Class seats
- 267 Economy Class seats
While the 787-9 offers:
- 28 Business Class seats
- 271 Economy Class seats
