Etihad Expands its Indian Network With Flights to Jaipur

India is arguably the most strategic country for all middle eastern carriers. The likes of Qatar Airways, Saudia, Emirates and Etihad all boast extensive networks in the country. Huge numbers of expats make their way home every year and business travel is on a constant rise. Therefore, it is impossible for these carriers to neglect India as a market. Etihad is no stranger to this conundrum and has just further powered up its network with flights to Jaipur.

Etihad Brings Its Indian Network To 11 Destinations

As stated above India is a key market even for Etihad. The Abu Dhabi based airline although not as big and powerful as fellow UAE carrier Emirates, leverages heavily on traffic from and to the mega country. With the addition of flight EY366 the number of destinations served goes up to 11. That is quite an impressive number. The complete list of destinations features:

  • Delhi (DEL)
  • Ahmedabad (AMD)
  • Mumbai (BOM)
  • Kolkata (CCU)
  • Hyderabad (HYD)
  • Bengaluru (BLR)
  • Trivandrum (TRV)
  • Chennai (MAA)
  • Kozhikode (CCJ)
  • Cochin (COK)

About New Abu Dhabi to Jaipur Flight EY366

The flight will straight out of the blocks be a significant addition in terms of flight frequency to Etihad’s current Indian network. Flight EY366 will serve a 4 times weekly frequency between Jaipur Airport and Abu Dhabi International Airport. It won’t be however served by any of the largest Etihad aircraft as we’ll see shortly.

The flight will operate 4 times per week with it being scheduled every: Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

As for the plane, it’ll be served by the smallest of the Etihad fleet, the A320. This aircraft type is often seen on EY flights to India and unfortunately isn’t the most comfortable or luxurious. Most of the cabin is taken up by Economy class in a 3-3 layout with only 2 or 4 rows (depending on the aircraft) of business class. However no need to wait for the new service. Flights already commenced flying the route on June 19th 2024.
