Flynas Expands Europe Presence With Third Flight

Saudi airlines are undergoing a rapid and ambitious expansion process. The country has huge ambitions which will bring airlines to power up their services massively in coming years. It’s not only the luxurious full service airlines which will drive these ambitions but also the low cost carriers that cater to more price sensitive clients. This is the case of Flynas and their latest service to Europe. Let’s take a closer look at Flynas’ flight XY641.

About Flynas Flight XY641 Jeddah to Brussels

The flight will be the first direct and non stop connection offered by a Saudi airline between Jeddah and Brussels. Services launched on December 2nd with flights available 3 times weekly every:

  • Tuesday
  • Thursday
  • Saturday

Tickets are clearly already on for sale with prices for a last minute one way trip as low as 168 Euro. That is quite the bargain considering the flight clocks in at 6 hours with a total distance of 4,422Km. That is only 0.03 Euro per kilometre travelled.

Part of A Much Bigger Plan

This new flight, as many more to come from Saudi airlines, are part of a much bigger plan. The kingdom plans to become a major aviation hub on the world stage in coming years, hoping to attract 330 million travellers and 100 million tourists by 2030. Therefore it is very likely to see Flynas spread its network to more and more destinations in Europe and southeast Asia. Part of the plan are also the launch of the new national carrier Riyadh Air and revamping of the legacy airline Saudia.

Flynas Flight XY641 Jeddah to Brussels Schedule

Departure time from Jeddah on the outbound leg of Flynas flight XY641 is a brutal 3:40AM. This is both something normal and customary for low cost carriers and for airlines in the middle east that convey passengers on connecting services from different areas of the world.

The Airplane For The Flight

The aircraft is nothing to get too excited about. Flynas operates an all Airbus A320neo fleet featuring:

  • 8 Business Class Seats
  • 156 Economy Class Seats

Economy class has a seat pitch of only 30″ which makes for quite a tight squeeze and uncomfortable ride on a 6 hour flight. That is the same seat pitch Ryanair offers on its flights. The price though might outbalance the comfort aspect for many.

Ex Emirates Cabin Crew and long time aviation enthusiast. I can remember loving aviation and planes since I was a very little boy. I have developed my passion into a deep knowledge of the sector and industry to offer on my sites in depth and precise analyses of what is going on. I also completed cabin crew training with Ryanair, however, I never worked for the company (more on that another time). Finally I also have taken flying lessons completing my first solo flights.
