Air Canada Launches New Vancouver Dubai Flight

Just like Emirates and Etihad did this week, Air Canada also jumped on the opportunity offered by the new air transport agreement signed by the UAE and Canada. The agreement allows Canadian and UAE carriers to increase flights between the two countries. This is a significant warm up of diplomatic relations between the North American and Middle Eastern countries. So today we’ll be talking about the new Air Canada AC78 Vancouver to Dubai flight.

About the New Air Canada AC78 Vancouver to Dubai Flight

Air Canada already operates a daily service to Dubai International Airport, however that flight departs from Toronto Pearson Airport (YYZ). There are no direct flights at the moment from British Columbia to Dubai. That though is about to change in 2023.

Air Canada Boeing 787-9 for Vancouver Dubai Flight

The Aircraft For The New AC78 Flight

Air Canada will deploy on the Vancouver Dubai route one of its modern 787-9 aircraft. These are ULR capable aircraft that offer an exceptional passenger experience, thanks to roomy interiors and a lower cabin altitude which helps you breathe better and mitigates the effects of jetlag.

Air Canada’s 787-9 offer a 3 class configuration on ULR flights with:

  • 30 Business Class Seats
  • 21 Premium Economy Seats
  • 247 Economy Class Seats

The business class seats, despite the cabin being quite densely populated, offer great privacy. That’s thanks to the way the seats are oriented in the business class cabin. Air Canada opted for the always more popular and appreciated reverse herringbone seat orientation. It must be said though that window seats are the ones that have the best privacy in the cabin.

Premium economy on the other hand has a 2-3-2 layout while economy class has a very acceptable 3-3-3 configuration.
