Vancouver airport (YVR) is Air Canada’s main pacific hub. The airline operates a huge number of flights to the Asia-Pacific region from this airport. So it’s no surprise that the carrier has chosen to launch its new flight to Singapore from this hub.
The flights will start connecting Vancouver and Singapore starting April 3rd 2024. The flight, number AC19, will be a permanent presence in the Air Canada network. However it won’t start off as a daily service, at least initially it’ll have 4 weekly services on:
- Mondays (returning on Tuesdays)
- Wednesdays (returning on Thursdays)
- Fridays (returning on Saturdays)
- Sundays (returning on Mondays)
Also Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) is home to another Star Alliance major airline Singapore Airlines. Why is this important? Simply because it offers Air Canada passengers the possibility of travelling onwards to other destination on the SQ network seamlessly.

As mentioned the flight will have 4 weekly services and as for the schedule, this is how flight AC19 will work:
- AC19 will depart Vancouver (YVR) at 00:15 arriving into Singapore (SIN) at 07:10 the next day.
- AC20 return flight will depart Singapore (SIN) at 09:10 arriving into Vancouver (YVR) at 08:45
Which Aircraft Will Serve Air Canada Vancouver Singapore AC19 Flight?
Of course the aircraft chosen to operate this sector is non other than the flagship of the Air Canada fleet, the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. The airline hasn’t specifically announced which variant will serve the Vancouver Singapore route, if the 8 or 9. Supposedly the variant will be selected according to loads forecasted, as the 9 version can accomodate extra 43 passengers.
