Delta Adds 2 Rio de Janeiro Flights to Its Latin American Network

As part of the ongoing joint venture with LATAM Delta is looking to win over as many passengers travelling from south to north America as possible. The Atlanta based airline can take advantage of the vast LATAM network in latin America and funnel passengers onto its flights to the US. The two new flights from Rio de Janeiro fall exactly into this masterplan. So let’s talk about these two new services Delta just launched from Brazil in join venture with LATAM.

Delta’s 2 New Latin American Flights

One of the most relevant partnerships between airlines in north and south America is without a doubt the Delta-LATAM joint venture. This partnership redefined air travel across the Americas, offering passengers enhanced connectivity, improved service, and a streamlined travel experience.

The joint venture allowed both airlines to expand their networks significantly, while providing greater route flexibility, increased flight frequencies, and more competitive pricing. By combining resources, Delta and LATAM aim to deliver a more seamless customer experience, integrating their passenger services and loyalty programs.

Therefore it is unsurprising to see so many routes jointly being setup by the two airlines. Among the new routes, the 2 I’m talking about today.

Both flights have as destination the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro and serve 2 of Delta’s major hubs in the United States.

Specifically Delta has just started service on the following routes:

  • DL61 – Atlanta to Rio De Janeiro
  • DL245 – New York JFK to Rio de Janeiro
