OneWorld Alliance’s First Ever Branded Lounge at Seoul Incheon Airport

Some significant news for OneWorld travellers, in particular those that regularly fly in and out of South Korea. The alliance, founded in 1999, has unveiled its first ever branded airport lounge. An event that celebrates an important milestone for the alliance. Specifically the lounge has opened for business at Seoul Incheon International Airport (ICN). Let’s dive deeper into the news.

Who Has Access To The New ICN OneWorld Lounge?

The OneWorld lounge offers complimentary access to all Emerald and Sapphire members of OneWorld frequent flyer programmes. Access though also extends to all passengers flying First or Business Class with the alliance’s airlines.

The fact that this is a OneWorld branded lounge will offer passengers a completely new experience. All amenities will be shared among the airlines operating out of Incheon International Airport, keep reading to find out which they are. Operational support for both the creating and running of the lounge is provided by Swissport. The group has extensive experience in the field managing a vast number of high end airport lounges across the globe.

Where Is The Lounge Located?

OneWorld’s first ever branded lounge is located in Seoul Incheon’s Terminal 1. No surprise here as Terminal 2 sees exclusively flights from Korean Air and other SkyTeam airlines. All other airlines, including OneWorld, operate from Terminal 1.

The attention to detail transpires even with the location the alliance chose. The lounge is situated conveniently close to all OneWorld usual departure gates. Therefore passengers will never have to walk more than 10 minutes from the lounge to any of the departure gates.

The Lounge’s Timings and Details

Open daily from 7:30 AM to 11:45 PM, the Seoul OneWorld lounge can accommodate up to 148 passengers. More than enough to accomodate all OneWorld travellers departing at any given time during the day. Furthermore it is quite a spacious area spanning 555 square meters featuring some modern and relaxing decor.

The opening of the Seoul Incheon lounge, as the Amsterdam one, celebrate an important recurrence for the alliance. 2024 is in marks the 25th anniversary of OneWorld’s foundation.

Passengers on Which Airlines can Access The New Lounge?

Cathay Pacific, American Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Qatar Airways, Finnair, Qantas, and SriLankan Airlines. These are the 7 OneWorld airlines that serve Seoul Incheon Airport currently. Therefore passengers travelling in premium cabins with these airlines get access to the lounge.
