ANA Presents Its Pokemon Themed Safety Video

ANA Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner Departing Vancouver

The latter stages of this 2024 summer have become safety video announcement season. Numerous airlines have been presenting their new safety videos that they will be showing on flights throughout the winter season. In the past few weeks, it was British Airways and then Cathay Pacific’s turn, now ANA is presenting its own. As the BA and Cathay videos, ANA’s too is very distinctively Japanese, albeit in a very different way to the other two carriers.

ANA and Its Pokemon Themed Safety Video

Well, ANA has also jumped on the wagon in this safety video announcement season. The airline has presented a very distinctively Japanese safety video that combines real life characters and some of the most famous Pokemon characters to entertain and captivate travellers’ attention to the safety video.

The video itself I must be honest isn’t all that entertaining and is a bit flat in pace. It just feels like a normal safety video with some cute Pokemon characters thrown in here and there to spice it up a little. However, it doesn’t feel like it is an elaborate production as some other safety videos we’ve seen over the past months and years. But that is just my opinion, I would love to hear what your thoughts are in the comments below.

ANA’s Passion for Cuteness

ANA, All Nippon Airways, is no stranger to showing off with things of this sort. The airline has some of the most colorful planes in the skies. Just think of the iconic Flying Honu liveries applied to the carrier’s Airbus A380s.

Staying on the Pokemon theme instead, the airline also features some dedicated special liveries. Namely the “Eevee Jet NH” and “Pikachu Jet NH” they both depict some of the most loved Pokemon characters on their fuselages.
