Airbus wraps up the year with its highest commercial aircraft monthly delivery figure for 2025 of 136 planes. That brings the total for 2025 to 793. A figure which puts Airbus almost 200 units ahead of its main competitor Boeing (Boeing delivered 600 planes in 2025).
Airbus delivered 136 aircraft in December 2025 (largest month of the year)
December was a remarkable month for Airbus in which it delivered the highest number of aircraft to its customers. 136 planes delivered is the highest figure this year for both narrow and wide body aircraft.
This is trend in aircraft deliveries is not at all unusual for Airbus. Airbus historically backloads deliveries into December/Q4.
December 2025 Deliveries By Aircraft Family
Looking at the overall figure of 136 planes only tells a part of the story. To know exactly how Airbus performed in December 2025 with its deliveries we need to dig deeper into the data.
The first breakdown I’ll share with you is how the Airbus aircraft family deliveries performed in December 2025:

Unsurprisingly the A320 family is yet again the dominant force in the Airbus lineup.
What does stand out, to a better trained eye, is that 22 wide body planes were also delivered. That is a high level of aircraft deliveries, keeping in mind most months barely make it into double-digit territory.

Next is to break down the figures even further, by looking at the specific model delivery stats.

Although the A320-family was the most delivered in December 2025, the largest variant, the A321neo, comes in at the top of the delivery chart. 65 A321neo were delivered last month and that includes all sub-variants (standard, LR and XLR). The first A321XLR aircraft were delivered this year along with some other significant deliveries for the aircraft type, such as the first Etihad A321LR.
The most attentive reader might have noticed there’s yet again an aircraft absent in the list. Once again the A330-800 is the black sheep of the Airbus family with no deliveries. As a matter of fact only one unit of this aircraft model was delivered in the entirety of 2025 to a private customer. Further proving how it isn’t a model airlines see a practical user for in their fleets and operations.
2025’s Last Push to Achieve Expected Growth
December in recent years has been an important month for Airbus and its aircraft delivery bottom line. 2025 was no different.
The company pushed hard to increase the number of aircraft delivered in the year and achieve that final figure of 793. That marks a 4% growth over 2024. Additionally 889 net orders were won over in 2025 which pushed the manufacturer’s backlog even further up to 8,754 units, which includes 1,124 wide body aircraft too.
