While Boeing prefers to announce its results on a quarterly basis, Airbus is more granular reporting its results each and every month. Therefore, every month Airbus gives us an overview on how it performed the prior month in terms of both deliveries and orders. As we’re in mid April, let’s take a look at what story Airbus’ March 2025 data tells us.
Airbus Deliveries: March Come to a Close With 71 Planes to 37 Clients
Airbus picked up the pace in March 2025 in terms of deliveries. January was a very sleepy beginning to the year, as Airbus often has, February was a little better, but March is the back to business month. We’re getting back to full steam ahead with 71 deliveries in March 2025 against:
- 25 in January 2025
- 40 in February 2025
As you might have imagined, the majority of deliveries involve narrow body planes which have larger order numbers and are faster to be manufactured than larger more complex wide bodies.
The Wide/Narrow Body Order Breakdown
The order breakdown between wide and narrow body unsurprisingly leans heavily towards the smaller aircraft with:
- 63 narrow body deliveries
- 8 wide body deliveries
The A321neo is the aircraft type with the largest number of deliveries in March 2025. 34 Aircraft of the type were delivered, that includes Standard, LR and XLR variants. With almost half the A321’s deliveries the A320neo is the second most delivered aircraft with 18 units handed over to clients. Other aircraft types have much smaller delivery figures, some to very exotic airlines such as the sole A319neo delivered to Tibet Airlines.

Where Did The Airbus Wide Body Aircraft End Up?
As I already mentioned, only 8 wide body plane deliveries took place in March 2025. So where did this handful of aircraft end up in the world?
Let’s start off with a fact, no Airbus A350-1000 deliveries happened in March 2025. The A350-1000 is the largest aircraft Airbus manufactures since it discontinued production of the A380.
Those 8 deliveries breakdown to:
- 2 A330-900
- 6 A350-900
Looking at those two A330neo, one ended up in CIT Leasing’s fleet of planes, while the second joined Cebu Pacific which will have it operate in an insanely dense configuration featuring an all economy 459 seater setup.
Here are the airlines that took delivery of the A350s:
- 2 Turkish Airlines
- 1 Delta
- 1 Air France
- 1 Emirates
- 1 Starlux

March 2025 New Orders: Many Remain Undisclosed
Airbus added a good number of aircraft orders to its backlog in March 2025. To be precise a total of 211 orders rolled in the front door in Toulouse. However, many of them remain undisclosed, 82 but who’s counting. Why is that so? Well a lot of clues point towards Paris, as that will be the venue for this year’s big air show. Some airlines might prefer to announce orders there to ride the wave of media interest and get more visibility and bang for their buck. So, we’ll have to wait a little longer to find out who placed those 82 undisclosed orders.
