This is the time of the year when we usually see Airbus upping the pace in terms of aircraft delivered. The manufacturer is, as predicted, speeding up its aircraft output pace to get the 870 aircraft guidance within reach. June wrapped up with a tally of 89 aircraft handed over to customers.

Airbus’ Highest Delivery Number YTD in June
| Segment | Deliveries (June 2026) | Deliveries (May 2026) |
|---|---|---|
| Wide Body | 7 | 8 |
| Narrow Body | 82 | 73 |
In June airbus increased the aircraft delivery speed once again. A total of 89 planes were handed over to customer airlines marking the highest level since the beginning of 2026.
A speed up which is necessary in order to maintain the aircraft delivery guidance target of 870 planes for the calendar year within reach.

This uplift of deliveries in late Q2 and moving into Q3 is almost second nature for Airbus. We see the European OEM regularly increase its aircraft output speed in H2 every year.
This is the time of the year when the pace is set for the remainder of the year to hit the target. If Airbus were to maintain 89 deliveries per month here onwards it would hit exactly that 870 aircraft target.
Narrow Body Deliveries The Reason For the Speed Up
The narrow body aircraft is the segment where it’s the easiest to speed up output. Single aisle planes are much simpler to build there are more assembly lines spread across the globe while wide body planes are only assembled in Europe.
That means that this is the segment that picked up the slack to push aircraft deliveries up close to the 90 threshold.

Even looking at the chart above it is apparent how Airbus has substantially stabilized its A220 aircraft output in 2026 H1 with deliveries rarely exceeding 10 units per month.
The heavy lifting is done by the A320 aircraft family. Specifically the A320neo and the A321neo are the planes pulling the overall delivery number upwards.
The A319neo has become an extremely niche product with deliveries only in China. The smallest A320 variant overlaps way too much with the A220 which has better performance efficiency in that size segment.

7 Wide Body Aircraft Delivered of Which 0 A330s
No jump up in production in the wide body segment for Airbus in June of 2026. The manufacturer’s output actually slowed down by 1 unit over May 2026, slowing down from 8 to 7 planes.

What stands out in June is that Airbus delivered only A350 family planes. Furthermore 6 out of the 7 planes were A350-900s with a single A350-1000 going to Qatar Airways.
Further breaking down those figures, 3 of the 6 Airbus A350-900 (50%) ended up in Emirates’ fleet.
