Although it didn’t take to the skies, the Qatar Airways new business class display will easily remain one of the highlights of the Farnborough Air Show. The Doha based carrier has in fact outdone itself once again with its new Business class product. Here’s what it offers and when it’ll enter service and on which aircraft.
- What are Qatar Airways’ Qsuite Next Gen all about?
- When and on which aircraft will it enter service?
The Mind-Blowing New Qsuite Next Gen Cabin
There was talk regarding the possibility of a new Qatar Airways business class product soon to be released. The airline chose, of course, the most important setting in the aviation world of the year, the Farnborough air show.
First impressions of this new product is that it s just stunning. The new version of the Qatar Airways Qsuites, rather uncreatively called Qsuites Next Gen, take the passenger experience to an all new level.
The cabin retains one of the most appreciated features, the quad suite that allows up to four passengers to enjoy each other’s company by moving aside the IFEs and lowering partitions. On top of that it introduced so-called companion seats ideal for couple travelling together, located at the window aisle seats.

The finishings of each seat have been touched up and have an even more premium feeling. Also, looking at the technological side of things, the IFE system in business class will feature state-of-the-art OLED 4K screens for a pristine viewing experience. The airline also stated that the seats have even more space within the enclosing door for extra comfort and privacy. The doble beds are wider and the partitions taller to make you feel like there’s nobody else in the cabin but you. I must say that it sure looks like it can deliver on those promises.

Which Plane Will Be The First to Feature the New QSuite Next Gen Cabins?
Qatar Airways will be fitting its first Qsuite Next Gen cabins on the yet to be certified Boeing 777-9. Therefore we have yet another reason to eagerly await the cerification of the Boeing 777X family. The aircraft choice makes sense as the new plane will offer ample space for the new cabins.
If all goes to plan the new Qatar Airways business class seats will be flying, along with the Boeing 777-9 by the end of 2025. All I can say is I sure hope so!
I will add a little hope of mine for the Qatar offering in business class. I hope that by the arrival of this new product the airline will have retired most of its seriously outdated business class cabins on the A330-200 and A330-300 to ensure a higher product consistency across its entire fleet.
