A Third Norse Atlantic Flight Coming to Bangkok in 2025

Norse Atlantic Expands East- New London-Bangkok Dreamliner Route

Norse Atlantic has, since day one, based its entire business model on offering cheap flights across the Atlantic. The Norwegian LCC took over where Norwegian Air Shuttle left off and failed in its tracks. However it has recently also started looking eastwards, starting up services to Bangkok with another readying to start in the final stages of 2025. Let me walk you through what Norse Atlantic has in store for us.

A New Norse Atlantic Flight to Bangkok – Here Comes Z0791

It isn’t something totally new for Norse Atlantic but it isn’t usual, so far at least, for the airline to fly to Asia. Most of the carrier’s destinations are in the United States with services towards Europe’s largest population centers. Also most flights don’t even operated year-round, as primarily trace the leisure passenger traffic seasonalities.

However, come November 2025, Norse will be increasing the number of flights it serves in the opposite direction. Flights to Asia will go from a single service to two. Specifically Norse will be adding to the existing flights from Oslo, Norway, and Stockholm, Sweden, a third flight to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi International Airport from London Gatwick.

The flight will have number Z0791 (Z0 is Norse Atlantic’s IATA Code), and will start operating Sunday October 26th 2025. In case you are wondering about it, here’s how the flight will operate schedule-wise:

  • Flight Z0791 will depart London Gatwick (LGW) at 16:00 –> Arriving in Bangkok (LGW) at 10:25
  • Flight WS71 will depart Bangkok (AMS) at 12:30 –> Arriving in London Gatwick (LGW) at 18:30

Flights will operate up to a 4x weekly frequency, during the busiest weeks in terms of leisure travel. The launch pricing is very aggressive on this new route, if you are fast enough to get one of the first tickets as well as being flexible on your travel dates (and lucky) you can bag it as low as £295 (GBP).

A Launch Date Looking to Intercept The Uplift in Winter Holiday Traffic

A lunch date so late in the year is extremely typical for flights to Bangkok and Thailand as a whole. Thailand is arguably the hottest tourist destination in the northern winter months, particularly for Europeans. The warm weather, beautiful beaches, and relatively inexpensive stay options make it a tourist magnet during the Christmas festivities.

Serving flights to Bangkok in December, and to a minor extent January, is a fantastic opportunity for airlines to build up some easy cash and revenue during what is the least busy time of the year for non-corporate traffic. If you pay attention you’ll notice that most flights to Thailand from Europe commence operations just around the time Norse is starting its own.

No Aircraft Alternative – London To Bangkok Norse Z0791 on The Dreamliner

Well if you know Norse Atlantic, or the way any low cost carrier operates for that matter, you will have guessed which aircraft will operate the new London to Bangkok flight. Norse is an all Boeing 787 operator. Its fleet is comprised solely of these aircraft. Hence, flight Z0791 will be operated by this aircraft type.

Starting October 26th 2025, Norse Atlantic's Boeing 787 Dreamliners will join these international carriers at BKK, operating the new Z0791 route from London Gatwick alongside increased service from Oslo and Stockholm during peak winter tourist season.

All of the airline’s 787 are configured in exactly the same way. That is in a 2-class layout featuring:

  • 56 Premium Economy seats in a 2-3-2 setup.
  • 282 Economy Class seats in a standard 3-3-3 setup.

Norse Atlantic Also Increasing Frequencies on its Other Bangkok Flights

Along with announcing that it’ll setup a new service from London to Bangkok, Norse Atlantic also revealed it’ll be powering up frequencies on its two other services to Thailand. Specifically:

  • Flights from Stockholm to Bangkok will increase from 2 to 4 weekly services starting December 5th 2025.
  • Flights from Oslo to Bangkok will increase from 3 to 4 weekly services starting December 3rd 2025.

Almost tempted myself to pack my stuff up and head south for some exquisite Thai food!
