Air Arabia To Start Sharjah Krabi Flights in Late 2025

Air Arabia stands out in the middle east aviation landscape. The airline is the main carrier of the Emirate of Sharjah but has steered clear of going into direct competition with the likes of Emirates, Etihad and Qatar Airways. Instead Air Arabia from day one has focused on the budget-sensitive crowd, becoming one of the region’s first low-cost carriers. The airline has announced a further expansion of its network to Krabi in Thailand.

Air Arabia’s Third Destination in Thailand

Inherently the budget-sensitive crowd is mostly skewed to leisure and VFR (visiting friends and relatives) traffic, as business travelers generally will pay with company money, therefore it makes sense for an airline such as Air Arabia to be on the constant lookout for opportunities of this sort.

The newest addition to the Sharjah-based airline’s network will be Krabi in the southern region of Thailand. An extremely touristy destination that attracts millions of holiday-makers every single year.

Krabi will become Air Arabia’s third destination in Thailand, following:

• Bangkok – Suvarnabhumi Airport
• Phuket

When and How Will Air Arabia Fly to Krabi, Thailand?

Now, despite Krabi being rather close to Phuket Air Arabia has chosen to commence flights. Reason for that choice? Convenience is a key factor for tourists. Nobody wants to arrive close to the final destination only go through hoops and hurdles to actually get there. Demand must be strong enough to support both destinations despite them being so geographically close to each other.

Flights won’t takeoff for another bit of time. You’ll have to wait until November 28th 2025 to have the first Air Arabia flight operate on the Sharjah to Krabi route. However, from November 28th onwards the service will be daily with the flight operating as follows:

On Monday/Wednesday/Friday/Sunday

• G9 756: Departs Sharjah (SHJ) at 22:45 Hrs, arrives next day in Krabi (KBV) at 08:10.
• G9 757: Departs Krabi (KBV) at 10:10 arriving into Sharjah (SHJ) at 14:20.

On Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday

• G9 756: Departs Sharjah (SHJ) at 08:15 Hrs, arrives next day in Krabi (KBV) at 17:40.
• G9 757: Departs Krabi (KBV) at 18:40 arriving into Sharjah (SHJ) at 22:50.

The aircraft for the new low cost Sharjah to Krabi flight will be one of the many Air Arabia Airbus A320s. They feature all economy class cabin with nothing particular to point out about them.
