Air Canada Launches Flights from Montreal to Naples

Naples has, over the past few years, attracted a number of North American airlines. More and more transatlantic routes have been established from the southern Italian city to North America. The latest airline to setup a route to the city is Air Canada, with its Montreal to Naples service.

Another North American Carrier Establishes Flights to Naples, Italy

Naples, thanks to the rise of smaller sized twin engine aircraft such as the 787-8, has been able to attract a growing number of transatlantic services over the past few years. Now the souther Italian city welcomes flights from all 3 US major carriers (United, Delta and American), albeit most of them being seasonal services.

Now, another carrier has joined the club of those serving transatlantic flights to Naples, Italy. The newcomer is Canadian national carrier Air Canada which has just launched its flight to Naples Capodichino International Airport. The new Montreal to Naples flight will operate alongside the airline‘s other services to major tourist hotspots in Italy, such as:

• Rome (Fiumicino Airport)
• Milan (Malpensa Airport)
• Venice

Air Canada: New Flights From Montreal to Naples AC882

The timing of the Air Canada’s AC882 Montreal to Naples flight couldn’t have been any better. The Italian city has been in the spotlight for the last few days as it will be hosting the 2027 sailing America’s Cup. That will undoubtedly further increase the interest for flights to the city in two years time. However, as for now it put the city in the spotlight possibly increasing awareness and interest in traveling to it.

The flight launched today with its maiden service from Montreal to Naples, Italy, and will cover the route with four weekly frequencies, every:

• Tuesday
• Wednesday
• Friday
• Saturday

The new Air Canada flight from Montreal to Naples will be, as most others operated by North American carriers, seasonal, starting May 16th to October 24th, following this schedule:

• AC882: Departs Montreal (YUL) at 19:35 Hrs, arrives next day in Naples (NAP) at 09:40.
• AC883: Departs Naples (NAP) at 11:35 arriving into Montreal (YUL) at 14:45.

Air Canada’s Smallest Wide Body on Montreal Naples Flight AC882

As mentioned at the beginning of the post, many of these new transatlantic flights to Naples, Italy, are operated by Boeing 787s and so will Air Canada’s. Air Canada will deploy its Dreamliners on flight AC882, I would imagine mainly the 787-8 which is smaller and easier to fill, with the airlines’ three class cabin setup.

Confirmation of that stream of thought comes from the flight’s first week schedule which will see solely Boeing 787-8 on the route. The come with:

• 20 Signature Business Class seats in a 1-2-1 reverse herringbone layout
• 21 Premium Economy Class seats in a 2-3-2 layout
• 214 Economy Class seats in a standard 3-3-3 layout
