Air India Makes Delhi to Tokyo Flights Daily

Things continue to be fast paced at Air India. There is so much news coming out of the airline every single day as it goes through the strides of ramping up its operations and making its way to becoming once again a world class airline. Some of the most notable changes, from the travelers standpoint, relate to the flights’ schedule and operations. Serving the most in-demand airports is part of that path. Among these airports is Tokyo Haneda, which will be getting an operational and scheduling update soon.

Air India Increases to Daily its Flights to Tokyo Haneda Following Its Relocation

Just a couple of months ago Air India moved all of its operations from Tokyo Narita to Tokyo Haneda airport. The move was a strategic one for the Indian national carrier, as the airline now serves the airport which is closest to the city. Also it allowed Air india to operate closer to its Star Alliance partners.

However, since March 31st 2025 when Air India started flying to Tokyo Haneda International Airport, the flight has been a 4x weekly service. That is soon to change as the Indian carrier is ready to up services making it a daily flight in its constantly growing route network.

  • AI358: Departs Delhi (DEL) at 20:20 Hrs, arrives next day at Tokyo Haneda (HND) at 07:55.
  • AI357: Departs Tokyo Haneda (HND) at 11:50, arrives at Delhi (DEL) at 17:25.

Delhi to Tokyo Haneda Flights will become daily starting June 15th 2025.

No Aircraft Type Change In Sight Though – Still The Older Dreamliners

Nothing is going to change however in terms of onboard passenger experience. The flight will still be operated by the not so old in age, but more so in look and feel, Boeing 787 Dreamliners. These planes are starting to show their age and offer a flight experience which is not even close to the that of the brand new Airbus A350-900s.

These planes offer a very plain 2-class configuration featuring:

  • 18 Business Class Seats (in a rather outdated 2-2-2 layout)
  • 238 Economy Class Seats (in a standard 3-3-3 layout)
