Air Serbia is not exactly known to be a mainstream airline within Europe to get to tourist destinations. However it is such for much of the Balkan region and has now included in its network a new tourist destination. The newest airport served is the very busy, during the summer months, one on the island of Mykonos in Greece. Here’s how the new JU554 service will work and operate.
The New JU554 Air Serbia Flight to Mykonos Takes Off For 2025
Now the press release states that for the duration of the summer season Air Serbia is serving the Greek island of Mykonos. However they have omitted in their statement when the flights will cease operating at the end of summer 2025. That leads me to think that the date might not be carved in stone and might have some flexibility. Air Serbia might decide to set a sooner or later date with more traffic and bookings data at hand.
The launch date of the flight on the other hand was June 6th with the first JU554 flight taking off from Belgrade’s Nikola Tesla international airport and arriving just under 2 hours later in Mykonos.

The newest Air Serbia flight JU554 operates on a 2x weekly frequency with flights available every:
- Monday
- Friday
That is one of the most classic tourist flight schedule as it drops off passengers at the beginning of the week to pick them back up at the end.
Timings vary depending on whether you’re traveling on a Monday or a Friday:
Mondays – Air Serbia Flight JU554
- JU554: Departs Belgrade (BEG) at 13:10, arrives in Mykonos (JMK) at 16:00.
- JU555: Departs Mykonos (JMK) at 16:45 arriving into Belgrade (BEG) at 17:35.
Friday – Air Serbia Flight JU554
- JU554: Departs Belgrade (BEG) at 11:55, arrives in Mykonos (JMK) at 14:45.
- JU555: Departs Mykonos (JMK) at 15:25 arriving into Belgrade (BEG) at 16:15.
Aircraft type I hear you ask? Well that is one of the airline’s 2 Brazilian made Embraer E195, second of which only arrived earlier this year in Belgrade (you can read more about it here). The aircraft choice tells us demand isn’t going to be particularly strong from the get go (probably) as Mykonos airport can accomodate even larger A320 family jets.
