One of the smallest yet most interesting airline operations in the world is BermudAir. The airline has only been in operation for less than 2 years. It is the national carrier of the Bermuda Islands and for many respects the lifeline that connects the archipelago to mainland North America even out of season. BermudAir has just expanded its destination network with a new flight to the US northeast.
Hartford CT is Bermudair’s Ninth Destination – A New Year-Round Service
BermudAir is adding a new destination to its growing network. Of course, it serves the island’s main incoming tourist market and the closest mainland: the USA.

The latest destination to enter BermudAir’s network is Hartford, Connecticut, operating flights to and from the city’s
Bradley International Airport. The service launched April 3rd, 2025, and therefore is already active and bookable. It will be a year-round offering in the airline’s route network, with twice-weekly flights connecting Bermuda to Hartford.
That twice weekly frequency is a recurring theme among the airline’s served route. Due to the extremely small fleet, it runs its operations on, BermudAir can only operate infrequent schedules to its destinations. For context, the Bermuda-based airline only operates a 2-aircraft fleet. It must fly all its flights with those two planes, which I’m sure is challenging and can prove to be a headache at times.
The flight, as already said operates 2x weekly and follows these timings:
- 2T431: Departs Bermuda (BDA) at 15:55, arriving in Hartford (BDL) at 17:00.
- 2T432: Departs Hartford (BDL) at 18:20, arriving in Bermuda (BDA) at 21:20.

Surprise Surprise Bet You Don’t Know the Aircraft Type!
A pinch of sarcasm in that title. The airline only flies 2 aircraft, and they are both same types. The sole 2 aircraft BermudAir operates all of its flights on are Brazilian manufactured Embraer E175 configured in a one class layout seating up to 70 passengers. Ten of those seats are in a European-style business class, with only one seat in use per side of the aircraft while the remaining are all economy in a standard 2-2 layout.
The airline really pushes its little E175s to the limit. BermudAir often needs to onboard much more fuel than necessary to operate the flight of the high diversion risk in Bermuda due to weather.
Finally, there is an ongoing flash sale on flights to Hartford with a discount of up to 25%. The catch? Sale expires today, April 5th, 2025. Here’s the code though: BDL25.
