Emirates Adds Third Daily Flight to Dublin: New Morning Service Starts October 2025

Emirates Boeing 777-300ER aircraft taking off from Dublin representing the new third daily flight service EK165 starting October 2025

Dublin was late to join the Emirates route network. I remember the airline launched this route while I was working in Dubai, around 2012 approximately. Flights from Dubai to Dublin have grown in popularity. Passenger volumes have been strong enough to allow Emirates to increase services first to twice daily and now adding a third daily frequency to the irish city.

Emirates Third Daily Dublin Flight Details

Three daily flights is getting Emirates extremely close to offering four digit figures of seats on the Dublin to Dubai route.

The new flight will operate in the morning unlocking more travel flexibility for thousands of passengers that choose Emirates on this route every week.

Flight number will be EK165 and will commence serving the Dubai to Dublin route on October 26th 2025. EK165 will add to the already operating EK161 and EK163.

In addition to the increased passenger capacity, the new EK165 Dubai to Dublin flight will also bring more cargo capacity. You might not be aware of it, but Emirates is a massive cargo operator. It leverages its massive passenger network and high capacity aircraft to offer swift cargo solutions. And this new Dubai to Dublin flight will enhance its capacity to Ireland by quite some margin.

New Emirates Dublin Flight Schedule 2025

The already operating flights EK161 and EK163 offered good travel options but left a gap in the morning. The new Dubai to Dublin flight EK165 will be in charge of filling that void. Three daily flights offer maximum flexibility not only departing from Dublin, but also in terms of the connections now accessible in Dubai at different hours. Hold that thought though, before delving deeper here’s Emirates new EK165 flight schedule:

  • EK165 departs Dubai (DXB) at 02:10 with arrival into Dublin (DUB) at 06:25.
  • EK166 departs Dublin (DUB) at 08:25 with arrival into Dubai (DXB) at 20:00.

That 8PM arrival into Dubai is just in time to transfer onto the endless list of eastbound flights.

Emirates Dublin Route Aircraft and Cabin Classes

The aircraft for the additional Emirates Dubai to Dublin flight EK165 will be yet another Boeing 777-300ER. For this flight specifically it won’t be one of the latest retrofitted planes.

Emirates will be sending out on daily Dubai to Dublin flight EK165 an older cabin configuration, featuring:

  • 8 First Class Suites
  • 42 Business Class Seats
  • 304 Economy class Seats

That configuration is the one with the famous Business class central seat sandwiched between two others. Also the window seats in this configuration also don’t have direct aisle access, having another seat next to them. Business class comes in a 2-3-2 layout, so choose your seat wisely.

Notably this aircraft configuration also doesn’t feature the new Emirates Premium Economy cabin which has become a hit with many travelers. Lastly, economy class comes in a standard 3-4-3 layout.

Enhanced Connectivity from Dublin via Emirates

Emirates’ business model is based on offering convenient and seamless onward travel via its hub in Dubai. All flight timings are chosen to allow passengers to transfer easily and rapidly to other flights. That is also the case with the additional Emirates Dublin to Dubai flight EK165.

Its 8pm arrival allows passengers to transfer conveniently onto a vast number of flights to Asia, and most importantly to Australia. Emirates’ schedule works in waves of flights arriving in Dubai before another departs, making the seamless transfers possible. This flight arrives just before the night wave starts departing Dubai international airport.

Many chose Emirates to fly down under particularly from the UK and Ireland. This new service opens new connection possibilities offering a whole new layer of travel flexibility.

Impact on Dublin Airport and Irish Travel Market

The impact for Dublin airport and Ireland as a whole is significant. More passengers will be able to travel from Ireland and just as many will be able to travel to Ireland helping boost the local tourism economy. Flag carrier Aer Lingus doesn’t have much of a presence eastwards meaning that it is rather complicated for tourists to get to the island on direct services. The new Emirates Dubai to Dublin flight, however, simplifies that massively as a stopover in Dubai is often pleasant as it is one of the best airports in the world offering good entertainment for a few hour stay.
