The first Brussels Airlines direct and non-stop flight from Brussels to Nairobi has landed in Kenya. This marks a further expansion for the Belgian national carrier into sub-Saharan Africa with flights to a very sought after destination for European travellers.
Brussels Airlines Enhancing The Existing Nairobi Service
Although in the carrier’s announcement it was treated for many aspects as an inaugural flight, it isn’t technically. The belgian carrier already operated flights to the Kenyan capital albeit not all that frequently and not with a non-stop service. Previous flights were direct but had made a short stop in Kigali before travelling onwards to Kenya.
The new service, Brussels Airlines flight SN481, on the other hand makes no intermediate stops therefore cutting down significantly travel times. This new flight will operate 4 times weekly, integrating the standing SN491 flight via Kigali. Therefore, the combination of these two flights will allow Brussels Airlines to offer flights 6 times per week. With Tuesdays being the unserved day of the week.
| Flight Number | Week Day | Departure Airport | Airport Code | Departure Time | Arrival Airport | Airport Code | Arrival Time |
