Indigo Expands its Flight Offering to Singapore, Kuwait, and Colombo

Indigo Airbus A320 plane which is the main aircraft of the fleet. The airline will also be using the A350 in the future.

Indigo is one of the most aggressively growing airlines in the world. The airline‘s plans are to say the least ambitious. After making a name for itself in India, it is looking to further expand and takeover more market share to major leisure and business destinations in the region. For the purposes of this post, it means the airline is opening one new flight and powering up two pre-existing ones. Let’s take a closer look.

The New Indigo Singapore Flight from Coimbatore, India

Singapore is the main financial city in Asia. Home to vast numbers of multinational corporations, a destination you must serve if you are an Asian carrier, especially if aiming to cater to a business-oriented crowd. No surprise that Indigo has flights from 8 Indian cities to Singapore, which are soon to become 9 with this latest route expansion.

The ninth Indian city to have Indigo flights to Singapore will be Coimbatore. The southern Indian city will have a daily flight to Singapore Changi international airport starting October 27th 2024. However, I must say not in the most comfortable of timings as the flight makes the turnaround service through the night:

The plane is, of course you guessed it, an Airbus A320 family, with the classic all-economy class cabin the airline has on all its narrow body fleet. This new daily service brings Indigo’s weekly Singapore flights to 72.

Indigo Also Powering Up Its Services to Singapore, Kuwait, and Colombo

Another business-oriented destination to get a route update is Kuwait. Indigo will be adding more frequencies on the Mumbai to Kuwait sector, specifically on flight 6E1235. Flights will go up to a four times weekly frequency giving greater flexibility to the many travellers on this route. The change will be effective October 29th 2024.

While staying on the business traveller topic, Chennai will also power up its services to Singapore. Flight 6E1025 will become a daily service for maximum flexibility, starting October 15th 2024.

Finally, a leisure destination. Colombo. Flight 6E1173, also departing from Chennai, will become a daily service, starting October 15th 2024.
