News in rapid succession for Adelaide International Airport. Qantas, which has recently revealed its new Domestic Business Lounge at the city’s airport, is also preparing to launch a new service from Adelaide to New Zealand. The new flight will be coming online later in 2025, but allow me to take you through all the details of the new service.

Qantas to Inaugurate Flights from Adelaide to Auckland For The Summer Season

Frequent flyers will be able to enjoy the new Qantas Business Domestic Lounge even when departing on QF flights to Auckland from Adelaide in not too long. The Australian carrier is readying to launch it newest route network expansion with a new spoke originating from South Australia.

The new flight, flight number QF175, will have a 4x weekly frequency (Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday) offering a travel option between Adelaide and Auckland throughout the summer months. QF175 Adelaide to Auckland will commence on October 31st (on Halloween) 2025 to then end on May 3rd 2026 as traffic demand dampens going into winter.

This is clearly a leisure oriented service as you can easily guess by simply looking at which days the flight is active on, during and on each end of the weekend.

  • QF175: Departs Adelaide (ADL) at 08:30, arrives in Auckland (AKL) at 15:15.
  • QF176: Departs Auckland (AKL) at 16:15 arriving into Adelaide (ADL) at 18:35.

The aircraft for the flight is the workhorse of the Qantas fleet in the medium haul division, the Boeing 737-800. The aircraft is configured in a domestic optimized 2 class configuration featuring:

  • 12 Recliner Business class seats in a 2-2 layout.
  • 162 Economy class seats in a standard 3-3 layout throughout the remainder of the aircraft cabin.
