Embraer is far from being an aviation superpower as are Airbus and Boeing, however, the Brazilian manufacturer covers a key role in the overall ecosystem. The manufacturer is the big, if not biggest player, in the 150 seater (and lower) aircraft segment. Its newest generations of regional jets, the E and E2 have made of the firms a household name worldwide. The past year came to a close with overall positive numbers. So, let's look into what Embraer was able to achieve over the course of 2024.
Embraer Hits is Expected Aircraft Deliveries for 2024
Now, we need to start off by mentioning that Embraer is most commonly known for its commercial aircraft lineup. However the manufacturer also produces a rather wide lineup of private jets and a couple of military transport aircraft as well. Therefore, when the firm announced its total number of delivered aircraft it generally refers to the total number of planes including private jets and, in some cases, even its military designs.
With all of that said and out of the way, let's get crunching some numbers. Embraer built and delivered a total of 181 planes split in:
- 130 Executive Aviation Aircraft
- 73 Commercial Aircraft
- 3 Military planes
Both the private jet and commercial lines of the business hit the targets the manufacturer was hoping to achieve for 2024. Expected delivery levels where in the following brackets:
- 125 to 135 Executive Aviation Aircraft
- 70 to 73 Commercial Aircraft
Those delivery figures translate to an 11.5% increase over 2023 when 115 planes were produced, while commercial aircraft deliveries are up by 12.3% over 2023 when 64 planes were shipped off.

Extremely Strong Performance in Q4 Set Up Embraer For Success
Embraer's Q4 was quite impressive, not much for the private jets but very much for commercial aircraft deliveries. The Brazilian aircraft manufacturer delivered less private jets in 2024 Q4 than in 2023 but increased the number of commercial planes from 25 to 31.
Only 1 plane more than last year was delivered for the E190-E2 and E195-E2 (the new generation of E-series) while 4 E175s were delivered in Q4 2024. That might sound counterintuitive, however, you must consider that most major US carriers are still only ordering the older generation of E-series jets and have no intention to onboard the E2 series. That is the sole reason Embraer is still manufacturing the older generation E-series planes.
