The landscape of LCCs in the middle eastern region has evolved significantly over the past decades but Air Arabia continues to be a driving force, no longer only in its home and main hub of Sharjah but in Abu Dhabi too. Abu Dhabi is the airport from which the low cost carrier has just launched its latest network expansion with flights to Yerevan, Armenia.
Air Arabia Launches Its New Abu Dhabi Yerevan Flight
The UAE, along with Istanbul, is the home of some of the most exotic flights. Although most peculiar flights depart from the much busier Dubai International Airport (DXB), Abu Dhabi now has one more to boast about as well.
The flight is Air Arabia's newest network expansion which will connect the UAE's capital, Abu Dhabi, to Yerevan, the capital of Armenia.
Despite the route possibly not being the highest demand of the network, the Sharjah based carrier is investing quite heavily in this new route. Air Arabia starting June 1st 2025 operates flights from Abu Dhabi to Yerevan on a 6x weekly basis, with flights every day of the week except for Tuesdays.
On Mondays and Wednesdays:
- 3L441: Departs Abu Dhabi (AUH) at 14:05 arriving in Yerevan (EVN) at 17:25.
- 3L442: Departs Yerevan (EVN) at 18:15 arriving in Abu Dhabi (AUH) at 21:25.
On Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays:
- 3L441: Departs Abu Dhabi (AUH) at 09:00 arriving in Yerevan (EVN) at 12:20.
- 3L442: Departs Yerevan (EVN) at 13:10 arriving in Abu Dhabi (AUH) at 16:20.
The aircraft for the new flight? You guessed it! It's of course one of the many Air Arabia one class Airbus A320 family jets. They feature a rather plain and straight forwards 3-3 layout throughout the cabin and are primarily thought to maximize capacity.
