New Summer International Flights For Vietnam Airlines 2025 Schedule

Vietnam Airlines expands summer schedule with new Ho Chi Minh City-Bali and Nha Trang-Busan routes - flight schedules, frequencies, and aircraft details

Summer is a busy time in Europe and North America, however, it gets just as busy in Southeast Asia with incoming tourists from all over the world with Vietnam becoming more and more a sought after destination. Its beautiful beaches and sights have become renown worldwide and are now real tourist magnets. To cater to the incoming tourist influx during the busy summer months national airline Vietnam Airlines has launched two new international services.

Vietnam Airlines New Flight VN641 From Ho Chi Minh City to Bali

The first of the two flights is from Ho Chi Minh City, one of the airline's two hubs (the other being Hanoi), is numbered VN641 to Bali (Denpasar). At a first glance the route might not make total sense, as it connects two tourist destinations, however, if you stop to think it through a little more, the route also caters perfectly to transiting passengers (incoming from Europe and other Asian countries on Vietnam Airlines) and to tourists visiting more than one country.

The flight's first service operated on June 2nd 2025 and will have 4 weekly frequencies (every Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday), until July 2025 when it will power up to a daily service as the hight of the summer season hits. Scheduling of flight VN641 will see flights operate as follows:

  • VN641: Departs Ho Chi Minh City (SGN) at 10:25 arriving in Bali (DPS) at 15:00.
  • VN640: Departs Bali (DPS) at 16:00 arriving into Ho Chi Minh City (SGN) at 18:40.

The Other Flight VN435 From Nha Trang to Busan, South Korea

The other flight is a slightly longer one, but still very much leisure oriented, operating from the costal Vietnamese city of Nha Trang to Busan Ginhae Airport, South Korea. Vietnam is among the most popular holiday destinations for South Koreans looking to enjoy a relaxing getaway without having to travel too far and to a country with a favorable currency exchange rate.

The flight will operate, right off the bat, with a daily frequency with the first service having covered the route on June 1st 2025. Schedule is a little quirkier than the Ho Chi Minh City to Bali one with:

  • VN434: Departs Nha Trang (CXR) at 23:35 arriving the next morning in Busan (PUS) at 06:05.
  • VN435: Departs Busan (PUS) at 08:10 arriving into Nha Trang (CXR) at 10:45.

Two Class A321neo For Both New Vietnam Airlines Flights

Both new flights have something in common apart from being clearly leisure oriented. They will share the same aircraft type, the Airbus A321neo features a 2 class configuration with:

  • 8 Business Class Seats in 2-2 layout
  • 195 Economy Class Seats in 3-3 layout

Keep in mind those 8 business class seats in the first 2 rows of the cabin are not flat bed capable seats, they are instead recliners. However for flights of the duration of the ones mentioned in this post that is more than enough. Economy class comes in the standard 3-3 layout with an average 29.5″ seat pitch.
