Which Qatar Airways Routes Are Receiving More Flights?
Winter is not as big a pie as summer but Christmas and the holidays do offer something for airlines to go after. Many do fly during these months to visit relatives or simply get away from the cold weather.
That's why Qatar Airways has recently announced it will be increasing services and capacity on four of its most important detinations:
- Kuala Lumpur (KUL)
- Singapore (SIN)
- Lagos (LOS)
- Shanghai (PVG)
Let's go over more in detail how these services are going to vary in frequency or capacity offered by Qatar Airways.

More Frequencies to Kuala Lumpur and Lagos
Kicking things off with Kuala Lumpur, Qatar Airways is bringing up the frequency of this flight. Starting December 17th 2025 Qatar Airways will serve the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur 17 times per week, up from the current 14.
Lagos, Nigeria, will become a seasonal double daily flight. Starting December 15th 2025 running until March 28th 2026 Qatar Airways will offer two daily flights to the west African megalopolis.
Expanded Service to Shanghai for 2026
Shanghai, which is currently a daily service in Qatar Airways' schedule, will get 3 more seasonal weekly flights. Therefore, from January 1st 2026 until March 28th 2026 there will be 10 weekly flights on the Doha to Shanghai route.
The increase is thought to serve passengers traveling from and to China in occasion of the Lunar New Year which in 2026 will fall in mid February.
A380 Deployment on Select Flights to Singapore
Finally Singapore, a prime destination for any airline with global ambitions. To avoid having to negotiate new slots at the airport, which can be pricy and complicated for the airline, Qatar Airways has decided to up-gauge the aircraft instead.
The A380 will be introduced on a selection of flights between Doha and Singapore starting January 12th 2026.
